Student Spotlight – Filippo Nicoletti: Thanks to the Summer Camp I Learned to Push Myself Out of My Comfort Zone

Filippo Nicoletti, jcu student spotlight, A high school teacher recommended that I enroll in John Cabot’s Summer Camp to make the most of my summer vacation. He told me it would be a unique opportunity to study English in an American academic setting.

I did, and never regretted it. In fact, I liked it so much that I attended it for two summers in a row. Thanks to the Summer Camp I was able to better understand the U.S. educational system and learned that I needed to push myself out of my comfort zone to get a lot in return. I achieved this especially by expressing my ideas through Public Speaking. I would have never imagined that the time spent taking classes in English and preparing oral presentations would have led me to take the big step of enrolling in an American university, John Cabot, where I now study International Affairs .

I am grateful to John Cabot for having helped me make the right academic choices and allowing me to study in an international environment in the heart of Rome.
