Time to Think and Dream

Life is full of ups and downs, but many little things can stop us from moving forward. Having a dream is delightful, though the pursuit of it might be bitter. You will never be able to experience the preciousness of having a dream until you reach the goal.

Right now, can you imagine your future? How do you want it to be? Do you have a dream?

Having a dream is always good, but dreams come with setbacks, disappointment and hard work. Kids always look forward to becoming an adult. They eagerly want to be set free from their parents’ constraints. Nonetheless, when the day comes, they realize that reality is not exactly as they expected.

Life is like a cup of coffee: we want it when we see others having it without knowing what it is. When we first try it, it is not as good as we imagined. However, when we take the time to carefully smell it and taste it, we start to enjoy the sweetness and the effect that comes afterwards.

Before college, I was not sure what I wanted to do in the future because I undervalued the importance of having a big dream. However, I started to dream when some courses I took at John Cabot forced me to think about my future career. At JCU, I observed professional people doing interesting jobs and I wanted to be like them.

My big dream: to become a CEO and earn a lot of money, to be able to help the people who helped me.

My little, short-term goals:

  1. Learn Hungarian and improve my English.
  2. Acquire information about the world by reading news and articles.
  3. Talk to people more.
  4. Go to different cities and countries to learn about other cultures.
  5. Exercise regularly (swimming or jogging). Need a healthy body in order to achieve my dream.

What is your dream?

dream big

You can dream big because dreams do not cost anything. As you dream, set up little goals to achieve it. We need a practical route to arrive at a big dream. No matter where you are, start to think about your future and start to dream big!
